The aim for this third-year project was to design packaging that reflects the essence of the album, exploring the vinyl use of typography and possible ways of enhancing and creating more of an experience with the gatefold sleeve and inner sleeves.
I chose the Earth, Wind, Fire record called ‘I Am’ due to there being room for changes in the visual concept. When deciding on this particular record, I explored whether the design successfully reflects themes of the album, discovering the importance of typography in conveying a band/artist genre.
